Boarwoods Farm is a small woman/veteran owned farmstead in Arab, Alabama. We focus on raising healthy hens and hogs, allowing each animal to express their natural behavior, such as scratching & pecking and rootin' & wallerin'. These practices are revitalizing and rejuvenating the landscape of our once deserted farm. Our eggs are laid by hens raised on open pastures and supplemented by non-GMO, no-corn/no-soy feed. Eggs are collected and packaged by hand each day to ensure freshness and the highest quality. Our hen's ability to forage naturally provides our eggs with a sunny orange yolk that is nothing short of delicious. On our farm, hogs are rotated frequently within the woods and pasture, to allow them to forage instinctively on grasses and mast. Their daily forage is supplemented with non-GMO, no-corn/no-soy feed to maintain optimum health and quality for the animal and the consumer. We believe this process allows our farm to provide beautiful, healthy, and delicious pork.
