CSA (Community-supported agriculture)

CSA (Community-supported agriculture)

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. You purchase a seasonal “share” of a farm’s harvest and receive a weekly or bi-weekly box of whatever is fresh that week. Your prepayment helps farmers plan, plant, and pay for additional labor. A CSA is typically not customizable, but some farms may offer add-on options. In return, you get regularly scheduled deliveries of peak-season produce and a direct relationship with the people who grow your food.
