Sligo Farm is a third-generation, family-owned farm located in Lincoln County, Tennessee. Thefarm consist of 65 acres with about 40 devoted to growing a wide variety of fresh vegetables,plants, fruits, berries, melons, flowers, and herbs. After moving from Huntsville to LincolnCounty, Randy and Kathy McElroy started Sligo Farm in 1987. Originally, the land was a cattlefarm, and we gradually converted it to a produce farm. A major expansion occurred in 2016when Justin and Joshua McElroy joined the farming operations and Randy retired from hisengineering job at Redstone Arsenal. Sligo Farm utilizes the latest agricultural practicesavailable along with the old “tried and true” practices by working closely with the USDA, theLincoln and Madison County Extension Offices, and the University of Tennessee’s AgricultureDepartment. Our goal at Sligo Farm is to provide the public with fresh, locally grown produce,herbs, and flowers at the lowest possible price.
